The Title Page of the Book of Mormon states
the following missions for this volume of scripture:
1 - "...to show unto the remnant of the
House of Israel what great things the Lord hath done for their fathers;
and that they may know the covenants of the Lord, that they are not cast
off forever", and –
2 - And also to the convincing of the Jew
and Gentile that JESUS is the CHRIST, the ETERNAL GOD, manifesting himself
unto all nations..."
The purpose of this scripture study is to
show how the Book of Mormon testifies of, builds upon & amplifies, and
gives a true, focused perspective to the teachings in the Holy Bible,
so
it's only from that perspective that I'll cover each of these topics in
this study.
For a more-complete view of Book of Mormon teachings one needs
to actually read it and not depend on something like this scripture study.
This is a work in progress; It will continue to grow each time I read
the Book of Mormon.
Also, I will be reformatting things, so next time you come around it may
look a little different.
To best follow along with this scripture
study (I haven't included all scripture passages!) you need your
own copy of the Book of Mormon. It would also be helpful to have a copy of
the Holy Bible.
