Exodus 22:21-24: Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for
ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou
afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely
hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the
sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
Exodus 23:2-6: Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do
evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest
judgment: Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause. If
thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely
bring it back to him again. If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee
lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt
surely help with him. Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in
his cause.
Exodus 23:9. Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger:
for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the
land of Egypt.
Leviticus 19:33-34: And if a stranger sojourn
with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that
dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou
shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I
am the LORD your God.
Deuteronomy 24:14-16: Thou shalt not oppress an
hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or
of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates: At his day thou
shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he
is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto
the LORD, and it be sin unto thee. The fathers shall not be put to death
for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the
fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
