We were woke up at 4:30 in the morning with the news that our daughter and her husband were on the way to the hospital for the birth of their first child. Hmmm... I thought the point of becoming a grandparent was that you get to sleep until the baby is actually born ...

I have see more Manliness
And more Courage displayed
Through the simple act of
Staying with one's wife
As she brings a new life
Into the world
Than I have seen
In all the war movies
Ever made.

How thankful I am
That my daughter married
A Real Man.
